So you want to eat healthier? That’s great! But now what? A good start is a well stocked kitchen. This list is just the basics of what I keep in my kitchen at all times to ensure that I can throw a meal together no matter the circumstances.
I purchase the bulk of my groceries from Aldi’s because I’m on a budget. I also frequent Trader Joe’s and Kroger’s.
Refrigerator
- Milk (I prefer almond)
- Minced garlic
- Lemon Juice
- Nutritional Yeast Flakes (for the B vitamins)
- Tofu
- Marinade (Mr. Stubbs is my personal favorite)
- Yogurt (dairy free options are available)
- Vegan Mayo
Freezer
- Frozen Fruit
- Frozen Veggies
- Soy Chorizo (my favorite is from Trader Joe’s)
Fruits & Vegetables
- Potatoes
- Onions
- Corn
- Eggplant
- Zucchini
- Squash
- Brussel Spouts
- Broccoli, Cauliflower
- Carrots
- Leafy greens
- Cabbage
Misc.
- Bread
- Vegan Cheese
