What's In My Kitchen?

So you want to eat healthier? That’s great! But now what? A good start is a well stocked kitchen. This list is just the basics of what I keep in my kitchen at all times to ensure that I can throw a meal together no matter the circumstances.

I purchase the bulk of my groceries from Aldi’s because I’m on a budget. I also frequent Trader Joe’s and Kroger’s.

Refrigerator

  • Milk (I prefer almond)
  • Minced garlic
  • Lemon Juice
  • Nutritional Yeast Flakes (for the B vitamins)
  • Tofu
  • Marinade (Mr. Stubbs is my personal favorite)
  • Yogurt (dairy free options are available)
  • Vegan Mayo

Freezer

  • Frozen Fruit
  • Frozen Veggies
  • Soy Chorizo (my favorite is from Trader Joe’s)

Fruits & Vegetables

  • Potatoes
  • Onions
  • Corn
  • Eggplant
  • Zucchini
  • Squash
  • Brussel Spouts
  • Broccoli, Cauliflower
  • Carrots
  • Leafy greens
  • Cabbage

Misc.

  • Bread
  • Vegan Cheese

This is the first part of a series I’m going to do on healthy eating and vegetarianism. My next post will be about meal idea and meal prepping because those make all the difference.
